Visit & Seminar by Professor Sir Bruce Ponder, FRS

Professor Sir Bruce Ponder, FRS, the Director of Cancer Research UK's Cambridge Research Institute and the Li Ka Shing Professor of Oncology of the University of Cambridge, visited the Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences on 19 November 2008.

During the visit, Prof. Sir Bruce Ponder was led by Director of the Institute, Prof. Dennis Lo, for a tour to selected facilities within the Institute, and for a tour of the Sir Y.K. Pao Cancer Centre by Prof. Anthony Chan and Prof. Nathalie Wong. After the tour, Prof. Sir Bruce Ponder delivered a seminar at the Institute on "Polygenic Cancer Susceptibility and Its Practical Implications". The inspiring seminar was attended by nearly a hundred of colleagues and students from the Faculty of Medicine.
