Biography:

Prof. Liang is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She is also appointed as Professor (by courtesy) at Shenzhen Research Institute, CUHK. With interest and expertise in genomics, metagenomics, epigenetics, molecular biology, and translational medicine, she aims to elucidate relevant molecular mechanisms and to identify new biomarkers and therapeutic targets. As a young scientist, she has been the principal investigator for 15 research grants and co-I for 22 other projects. Her work has resulted in first/co-first or corresponding authorship papers published in journals of Gastroenterology, Gut, Nature Communications, Cancer Research, Clinical Cancer Research, etc (https://publons.com/researcher/1749609/jessie-qiaoyi-liang/). Her research achievements have led to >20 patents filed, and >20 awards since 2014, including AACR Travel Award (2014), the Oral Free Paper Prize and the Travel Award at UEGW (2015), Women Scientists Award (2015), CUHK Research Excellence Award (2015), 1st class State Scientific & Technological Progress Award, Ministry of Science and Technology, China (2016), Hong Kong HMRF Research Fellowship (2017), Excellent Reviewer, Publons (2019), Top Downloaded Paper Award, Wiley (2020), etc.
