Symposium – Biomedical Sciences : Building and Translating our Strengths
Biomedical Sciences has been identified as one of the 5 Major Areas for focused research investment in the CUHK Strategic Plan 2006, with a view to achieving synergy across the various disciplines of Biomedical Sciences.
The Investigators' Meeting has proven to be an excellent platform for principal investigators within the University's Major Area of Biomedical Sciences to share their experience in biomedical research, as well as for the wider University community to learn about recent research developments in this Major Area.
On the basis of previous years' favourable response, and in order to showcase the achievements of the research projects being supported under the Scheme during the past 5 years, we shall organize a Symposium with details as appended below:
Title of Symposium - Biomedical Sciences : Building and Translating Our Strengths
Date - 27 April 2011 (Wednesday)
Time - 8.30 am to 5.35 pm
Venue - Kai Chong Tong, G/F, Postgraduate Education Centre, Prince of Wales Hospital
The Symposium will feature presentations of research work in biomedical sciences and it is a golden opportunity to keep track of recent advances in the area. As a member of the Faculty and the University community, you are cordially invited to join this Symposium.
For those participants who will come from main campus, please kindly note the following transportation arrangement on the day of event:
- A round-trip shuttle bus will be arranged to transfer participants to/from Main Campus and Prince of Wales Hospital;
Before the Event
- the shuttle bus (capacity : 42 seats) will transfer participants from outside Basic Medical Sciences Building (Main Campus) at 8.00 am sharp on 27 April 2011 (Wednesday) to Postgraduate Education Centre (Prince of Wales Hospital);
- no reservation of seat will be required for taking the shuttle bus;
- on first-come-first-served basis;
After the Event
- the shuttle bus (capacity : 42 seats) will transfer participants from outside Postgraduate Education Centre (Prince of Wales Hospital) at 5.45 pm sharp on 27 April 2011 (Wednesday) to Basic Medical Sciences Building (Main Campus);
- no reservation of seat will be required for taking the shuttle bus;
- on first-come-first-served basis.
