Visit by Delegates from Cancer Research UK

On 2 March 2010, delegates from Cancer Research UK, including Chief Executive Mr. Harpal Kumar, visited the Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences.

Being a leading cancer charity in the United Kingdom, Cancer Research UK supports world-class cancer research and education, as well as influence public policy.

During the visit, Professors Dennis Lo, Anthony Chan, Qian Tao and Ignatius Yu delivered presentations on their latest research findings in cancer, followed with a walk tour to various state-of-the-art research facilities of the Institute, including a cluster of "second generation" sequencers, and the biosafety level III laboratory. The delegation also visited Sir Y.K. Pao Cancer Centre located in Prince of Wales Hospital, Shatin.
