Ronald Wang is currently a Professor, Director of Chinese University of Hong Kong – Sichuan University Joint Reproductive Medicine Laboratory, and Deputy Director of Prenatal Genetic Diagnosis Centre in Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Ronald joined the department after his MBBS degree with honours in 1994, and he received his first Ph.D. in Surgical Sciences from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1998 and his second Ph.D. in Genetics from Japan National Institute of Genetics in 2011. He has major research focus in studying Reproduction and Development. With wide range of experience in clinical and medical research and teaching, Ronald was appointed to the editorial boards and review panels of many important research funding agents and journals. He has worked on many research projects received a total of over HK$125 million research grants and owned over 27 patents. Ronald has published over 350 ISI articles on many acclaimed journals including JAMA, Ann Int Med, Nat Cell Biol, Nat Commun, Adv Sci, Gene Dev, Cell Research, PNAS, Angiogenesis, Hum Reprod Update, Hum Reprod, Mol Hum Reprod, and Fertil Steril. His success in translational O&G research has earned him multiple local and international scholarships and both research and innovation awards. He is also reviewer of many journals (including Lancet, BMJ, Hum Reprod, Fertil Steril, BJOG, FRBM, FASEB, J Path, Development, Physiol Genomics, etc) and grant agents (NSFC, JSIEC, NMRC, NCSR, OPUS, ZonMw, etc).
